8/12/2023 0 Comments Elk lodge historyWe have received 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards for our lodge bulletin and were the state champions in our softball league as well as state champions in our dart league. We have also won a 4 star "All American Lodge" in 1993-94. 2018 we received a 1st place award for being the Fastest growing lodge in our division in the US. We also provide a hospitality room for the various police departments and volunteers working the Cruise.įerndale #1588 is a 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 20 winner of the All-American Lodge 5-star award from the Grand Lodge as well as a winner in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 as a Gold Star Lodge first ever in lodge history. We moved to our current building in 1898, and we are currently the 10th oldest lodge built. The Club moved to its present location at 2301 Springdale Road Waukesha, WI 53186 in April, 1970. The Cruise is a big fundraiser for the Drug Awareness program, Elks National Foundation, and our Major Project. Tiffin Elks 94 Our charter was instituted on July 11, 1888. The Waukesha Elks Lodge 400 was chartered May 12, 1898. The second Elks Lodge would be formed in Philadelphia on February. Our Lodge was actively involved in starting the Woodward Dream Cruise, which goes right by our door. Thus the first Elks Lodge was established, on this date, February 16, 1868, in New York City. When we first purchased the property over twenty years ago, it was a working cattle ranch. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks (BPOE) Lodge 2340 proudly provides community service and charitable events that include programs for our youth. The club room is open 7 days a week and we serve a limited Menu daily. Our beautiful lodge is historic and steeped in history. We have been at our present location since 1943. Beaumont, Lodge Number 311 Brenham, Lodge Number 979 Bryan, Lodge Number 859 Crockett, Lodge Number 1729 Huntsville, Lodge Number 1981 Liberty, Lodge Number 2019 GULF COAST DISTRICT NUMBER 8560. Ferndale Lodge #1588 was installed on Maby Detroit Lodge #34 and sponsored by Pontiac Lodge #810 and Royal Oak Lodge #1523.
